FLYING AT FIFTY KAY: HEM receives 50,000 all-time views

I am very happy to announce that the Half-Eaten Mind has officially surpassed 50,000 views to this awesome blog since its founding in April 2012. Thousands of people all over the world have visited the Half-Eaten Mind to get their fill of breaking news, engaging features and thoughts for the day. We have entertained, informed, educated, and inspired a huge army of Brainiacs. Of course, we would still be far behind if it were not for the members of the HEM community who have helped support the blog through their visits and likes over the past 22 months or so.

By the early morning of Thursday 16th January 2014, I had already just sailed past the 50,000 mark and understandably I was very proud of this notable blogging achievement. The good news sunk in as I was viewing my blog’s statistics portal just before I began work, and after previously discussing with a blogging friend when exactly I would hit the Big Fifty Kay. As of today at 12.42 pm GMT, the total lifetime number of views stands at 50,173 views, emanating from 169 different countries and territories. This certainly gives you a good idea of how internationally popular this blog is, considering that our primary language of communication used in our articles is English. The vast majority of Google searches that brought visitors to the Half-Eaten Mind were looking for graphics and not so much for news or features, but that is to be expected when the Internet is a picture-friendly (and dominated) environment.

To celebrate this special milestone, I created a certificate last night/early this morning as a small token of this personally momentous occasion, a sign of the pulling power that this blog has. I dedicate this certificate to all of the HEM community as well as my friends, family and all the anonymous website searchers out there for helping me achieve this.
