A litter of four French bulldog puppies have been reported as missing and stolen after they were abducted in a raid by masked intruders in the UK seaside town of Clacton, reports BBC Essex.
The 10-week-old pups were taken in an armed raid on a house in Freeland Road just after midnight (12 am) this morning. The pets’ owner was threatened by the two masked men with a hammer. They took the dogs before fleeing over the fences of neighbours’ gardens, according to local police.
Police are urging anyone with information, or who has been offered bulldog puppies for sale, to contact them urgently.
Purebred French bulldogs are highly prized and are considerably expensive with single puppies selling on popular commercial sites like Gumtree for up to GBP £2,500 (USD $3,233) in the UK.
