HEMNA this month marks ten years in existence. After the short Easter break, we return to the web with our latest news digest, drawn from breaking stories on Facebook.

Birmingham will languish around the 14C mark. In Brum, the Met Office predicts: “A cloudy start for most, brightening up throughout the day with the risk of an isolated shower.” It comes as some forecasters are predicting snow before the end of April. WXCharts has suggested snow could fall Manchester northwards across the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Forecaster Tom Morgan warned that the cold weather isn’t “great news for gardeners”. “It will feel more spring-like during the day, despite the occasional showers, but not in the mornings or overnight.” It comes after the hottest day of the year so far last Friday, with a high of 23.4C recorded at St James’s Park in London. Met Office senior meteorologist Marco Petagna said “The main thing is with each day since Friday we’ve seen maximum temperatures just creep down”, adding the end of the week will bring a “cooler, cloudier and breezier picture”.UK set to be hotter than Spain – as exact dates of next snow predicted (BirminghamLive ~ Black Country – Birmingham weather)

It’s been 29 years since the horrific murder of Stephen Lawrence in southeast London, as the eighteen-year-old was killed in an unprovoked, racially motivated attack. In the years since, the tireless campaigning of his mother, Baroness Doreen Lawrence, has helped keep the spotlight on Stephen’s life and legacy – with the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation aiming to fight racial inequality and advocate for a more inclusive society. Though there is a still a long way to go, the steps made in recent years are shaping a better society for all, and on Stephen Lawrence Day, we have an opportunity to reflect on the work done and the work needed to do next. We’ll leave you with the words of the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation, as true today as they were back in 1993: “Stephen Lawrence Day is about the part we all play in creating a society in which everyone can flourish.” You can find out more about Stephen Lawrence Day, and the Foundation’s work, on their website – The London Eye Will Light Up In Orange Tonight To Mark Stephen Lawrence Day (Secret London)

Some people are convinced that Heard is purposely picking outfits that look similar to ones that Depp has previously worn during the trial, in an attempt to ‘play mind games’ on him. ‘Amber Heard is playing mind games with Johnny Depp by copying his outfits in court,’ added another person. ‘The fact that Amber Heard is copying Johnny court outfits is something else… Nobody would ever copy their abusers outfits,’ said someone else.
