The Duchess of Cambridge has been joined by a bevvy of famous faces for the ladies’ final of Wimbledon today, from Killing Eve star Jodie Comer to actress Rebel Wilson. Another A-lister who has a prime spot in the royal box for today’s match between Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina play Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur is Tom Cruise. The Top Gun icon has had royal fans in stitches on social media after a photograph of him staring at the Duchess of Cambridge was released. A picture of Kate in the royal box has gained a great deal of attention with royal fans online predominately because of her A-List admirer sitting a few rows back. One person wrote: “I think that’s what you call ‘major crushing’ on the Duchess of Cambridge”. Outrage over Sri Lanka’s collapsing economy came to a boil on Saturday when tens of thousands of protesters stormed the colonial-era residence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and later set the prime minister’s house on fire. BRITAIN is braced for the hottest day ever next week when the mercury could hit a staggering 43C. The sweltering conditions would “obliterate” the UK’s previous record of 38.7C measured at Cambridge Botanic Garden in July 2019. It comes as Brits flocked to beaches and parks yesterday in a bid to keep cool as temperatures closed in on 30C.
