MAYDAY, MAYDAY: Awards from three blogs for the Mind

Unexpectedly, this weekend has seen a deluge of awards flying in from members of the HEM Community. While going through the blog emails that have been flooding in over this past week, I have gotten wind of award nominations from three fellow bloggers. For convenience’s sake I have combined everything into one article. Mayday…Mayday!!….we’ve got so many awards, I think we’re gonna burst and splatter bits of grey matter all over the bloggy-verse. Woop, woop…that’s another lot of awards for us….okay, now I’ve calmed down, let’s get down to business…. Our first award is the Sunshine Award, and this one … Continue reading MAYDAY, MAYDAY: Awards from three blogs for the Mind

A-MAY-ZING AWARDS: Sage Doyle gifts HEM first batch of awards for May

The Half-Eaten Mind is pleased to announce that, now with April having drawn to a close and the warmer days of May upon us, our good friend Sage Doyle has kindly gifted us with four awards, including one never before received accolade. Sage himself had picked up a spate of blogging awards recently, partly due to the concerted efforts of an Anglo-Mauritian guy in London with a virtual green-and-brown owl and a news blog or something along those lines. He had received multiple awards over the past couple of months, and on the 27th April (last weekend) he was able to … Continue reading A-MAY-ZING AWARDS: Sage Doyle gifts HEM first batch of awards for May

BEAUTIFUL DARDO OF VERSATILITY: HEM scoops another three awards

Our awards season continues relentlessly as the Half-Eaten Mind scoops another three awards to cram onto our mantelpiece.   Firstly our new friend Mahesh Nair of the blog “Write Might” who only last week  presented to us the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award, has now sent the Versatile Blogger Award our way. This blog’s rules stipulate that only one award per badge can be accepted to prevent duplication, however I have made a one-off exception for Mahesh and will include this award in my own nominations. Mahesh announced the nomination of my mind half-eaten with this comment left on one of … Continue reading BEAUTIFUL DARDO OF VERSATILITY: HEM scoops another three awards

WALL’S AWARDS: Two award noms from the House of Grimm

On the 17th March, 2014, the Half-Eaten Mind received another two awards – this time from author and blogger Sage Doyle. These are the The I’m NOT Featured On Freshly Pressed Award and the Dragon’s Loyalty Award.  Sage Doyle is an American-based author who writes stories and poetry on his blogs and via the fictional journal “The Journal of Wall Grimm“. The Wall Grimm in the title is a 24-year-old man who lives in the United States but traces his family’s origins from a clan of Sicilian Romani (Gypsies) who came to America to start a new life and dream. To make sense … Continue reading WALL’S AWARDS: Two award noms from the House of Grimm

SEVEN AWARDS IN ONE: Bumper awards gift from Irene

We are only into our first few days of March and spring has sprung, but the awards avalanche will not let longer days and brighter sunshine cut short its rampage through the chewed synapses of the Half-Eaten Mind. Yours truly has just received a full blast of accolade-ey goodness from Irene A Waters of the blog Reflections and Nightmares. It is not the first time HEM has been nominated by Irene. In mid-February, she sent us the Field of Flowers Award, one of the more pretty and colourful awards we have pinned to our puffed-out and proud chests. This is … Continue reading SEVEN AWARDS IN ONE: Bumper awards gift from Irene

PETITE MAGIQUE AWARD GIVEAWAY: ….or “Hallelujah, it’s raining awards”

In 1987, the TV weather forecaster Michael Fish, a normally well-regarded personality on British screens until recently, famously failed to warn viewers of a massive hurricane which caused million of pounds of damage when it did hit our shores. The poor Mr. Fish soon became the butt of many jokes and comments from bemused (and roofless) members of the public. I would not have been surprised if he actually wished he was the animal that sounds like his surname and jumped into an ocean big enough to lay low in until the furore died down. Unlike Mikey, the man behind … Continue reading PETITE MAGIQUE AWARD GIVEAWAY: ….or “Hallelujah, it’s raining awards”

FEBRUARY AWARD SHOWER: HEM nominated for four gongs

On the 6th February 2014, the Half-Eaten Mind was nominated for four blogging awards by photographer and poetess Patty from the blog ‘Petite Magique’. She has been a keen follower and friend for many months and has nominated the Half-Eaten Mind a few times previously. She has kindly stretched out her love all the way from the Netherlands, across the North Sea to London to rain down a few awards to add to the typhoon of gongs tearing a blingy path our way since the end of last year. Patty herself has also been very much caught up in the … Continue reading FEBRUARY AWARD SHOWER: HEM nominated for four gongs

BOXING DAY BONANZA: Awards by the Don Charisma

Vijay Shah Just as Christmas Day 2013 breezes past in a flurry of rain, dodgy jokes from Xmas crackers and homemade onion gravy (no white Christmas that’s for sure), the Half-Eaten Mind is pleased to announce that we have received a very cool gift sort of via the tubby geezer with the sled and red coat. HEM has been nominated for the last two remaining stars of the Blog of the Year award plus a new award “The Inventive Blogger Award” which has been created by the person who nominated it to the blog. Our latest awards come courtesy of Don Charisma … Continue reading BOXING DAY BONANZA: Awards by the Don Charisma

CHRISTMAS AWARDS BOUQUET: Nominations by Clouds N Cups & Ajay

Vijay Shah “For the twenty-second day of Christmas, my blogger friends gave to me….fiii-iii-ve awards!!” *Record scratches and stops* *Window shatters* Well, okay fair enough, I was never much of a good carol singer and my housemates are cursing me under their breath, but right now I am floating higher than Santa’s sleigh jampacked full of gifts, as the Half-Eaten Mind takes receipt of a special festive bouquet of five awards which I have been nominated for by the owners of two blogs, “Clouds N Cups” and Ajaytao 2010. Our first nomination comes courtesy of Wendy Lee from “Clouds N … Continue reading CHRISTMAS AWARDS BOUQUET: Nominations by Clouds N Cups & Ajay

DECEMBER AWARD FEST: HEM nominated for 3 awards by Cupitonians

Vijay Shah News just in. The Half-Eaten Mind must have been a very good little blog this Christmas, as we have been nominated for a further three awards by Anju (a.k.a Cupitonians) of the delightfully zany and well-written diary-blog “This Labyrinth I Roam“. Residing in Bangalore, Karnataka, south India. Anju is working as a software/games tester and is also a frequent traveller, having visited the UK, Africa and all over her native country. Her blog is full of funny, witty and heartfelt articles, and she has one of the best methodologies in using images to illustrate her pieces I have … Continue reading DECEMBER AWARD FEST: HEM nominated for 3 awards by Cupitonians
