Rochester Falls – VIJAY SHAH via Metro UK tabloid newspaper Metro reported this past Friday on an allegedly racially-motivated shooting of a 14-year-old African-American student by a white American homeowner, after the student asked for directions when he missed his bus. The homeowner is currently on trial for the incident. The boy, Brennan Walker, was experiencing difficulties getting to his destination after missing the scheduled transport due to oversleeping, and knocked on the door of Jeffrey and Dana Ziegler in the town of Rochester Falls, in Michigan. LADBROKES: Cheshire student nets over £1 million in betting shop lottery

A student in Chester, Cheshire, can finally wave goodbye to Pot Noodles and baked beans after she recently won just over £1 million on a lottery run by a local betting shop. Jirtchaya Klongjarn, 34 years, visited a town centre branch of the betting shop chain Ladbrokes, where she placed two £1 bets for the Friday draw of the ‘49’s ‘ lottery. She successfully chose all six winning numbers and netted herself a cool £1,000,990. It was a case of ‘second time lucky’ for Klongjarn, who only began playing the 49’s lottery just four months ago.
